Speed depends on your computer
OfflineLLM runs on your processor and memory — not a remote server. A modern computer (2020+) typically responds in 5–15 seconds. Older hardware may take 30–60. An NVIDIA GPU makes it much faster.
Travels between Mac and Windows
Unplug from a Windows laptop, plug into a Mac, and pick up exactly where you left off. Your full conversation history lives on the drive.
Always quit before unplugging
Click Quit & close in the sidebar before removing the drive. This saves your chats and shuts down cleanly.
One harmless first-launch warning
Windows and macOS show a one-time security prompt for any app on an external drive. Clear instructions are included — after the first run, it just launches.
